Are You Like Me? You likely played a sport growing up. Being active was never a question, it was just part of your lifestyle and more than that it was just fun. Later we get busy with our jobs, family, commitments to our children, the list goes on. At this point, almost anything seems to be a good excuse to avoid the gym. But at what cost? If you are like me, you are aware of the benefits of working out and the risks associated with lack of exercise. If you are like me, there is a desire to be better, stronger, and healthier. So, I did it! I made that decision to be better and so on March 1st, 2003, I hit the gym and I hit it hard! I trained with Steve Tylee and an hour later I knew my life was probably never going to be the same. I felt amazing, energized, and excited. I didn’t know what to do with the energy that was created by working out. With every workout something inside me was driving me to push myself beyond my limits.
I am a client turned trainer and am now certified by the National Endurance and Sports Trainers Association since March 26th, 2005. I have been training now for the past five years and my clients include the young and the old, hard core athletes, and people that have never seen the inside of a gym or played a sport. I train people with injuries, high blood pressure, overweight people and those trying to tone and build muscle. Still others start training simply to get healthy and get in good shape and stay there: the point is ANYONE can make a change. No matter what your fitness goals are, I can design a workout personalized to help you achieve them.
Over the past six years I have come to understand how the body works and how it responds to training. Healthy muscles are those that have been worked, stressed, and pushed to their limit. Keeping muscles fit takes effort, which means regular training with weight lifting and cardiovascular exercise. Studies show regular exercise lowers blood pressure, increases bone density, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and some cancers. Exercise keeps you fit and healthy and makes you look and feel better.
So, you choose whether to give up at the first obstacle or give it your all, speak up or stay silent, to change what you don’t like or let it change you.
With every word, every step you take, you define who you are- and create your future. Yeah, you’re just like me. Schedule your one-hour free trial workout.
