When I began working with Steve Tylee, I weighed 337 pounds and was considering surgical options for weight loss. I had lower back and shoulder pain and no energy. When we began, he immediately took an aggressive approach to help me to not only alter my own daily fitness practices, but he began to educate me in the right way to address things like nutrition, cardio workouts, frequency and timing of workouts and long-term goals. He emphasized the importance of incremental progress and the integration of fitness into every aspect of life.

Steve has been extremely flexible in crafting workout and nutrition programs that not only suit my weight loss needs, but also that can work with my busy work and home life schedules. I have become a firm believer that an effective fitness and nutrition program can be successfully combined into the lifestyle of anyone who is willing to commit themselves to it's success. Steve has helped greatly in shaping my attitude from one of frustration to one of determination by demonstrating a formula that has shown proven success.

After 12 months, I now weigh around 231 pounds - that's over 100 pounds! My back is almost completely pain free, I've seen an improvement in my overall strength and I cannot remember the last time I had this much energy. Steve keeps me focused and motivated with varied workouts that are both challenging and fun. There is every reason in my mind to believe that this progress will continue. I have benefited tremendously from his skill and knowledge. It is not just some small improvement in the way I look and feel. It is a substantial gain in the quality of my life.

Peter:

Since turning 40, I found myself making more and more excuses to NOT work out. Now at 43, I had gained more than 20 pounds and with a hectic work schedule I found myself eating more poorly than ever. I decided it was time to get serious and do something. I knew I probably wouldn't stick to any routine unless I had someone waiting for me to guide me through it.

I started working with Steve twice a week in late October. Since then, I've lost 30 pounds and am now wearing clothes that haven't fit well for several years. I feel great and have a true sense of accomplishment.

The early morning workouts were not easy at the start. Since seeing and feeling the results, I now look forward to the challenge. Steve has developed a personal plan of diet, home cardio workouts and weight training that is right for me and is getting me the results I want. I appreciate Steve's attention to each exercise. My 17 year old son, Jon started training with Steve last year for optimum conditioning, flexibility, and strength as he prepared for intense Canadian goalie summer camps. I've been a fitness enthusiast all my life, fitting in tennis, paddle tennis and routine weight training with a hectic New York City commute. Now that I'm retired I still work out routinely and have added golf to my activities. Unfortunately, my game needed some special attention. This past winter I signed up for Steve's golf conditioning program. Steve developed a training program aimed at strengthening and improving my golf swing. The program also focused on enhanced balance and coordination - key components to a great golf game. Now that the season has begun I'm already seeing the benefits of my training.

My first work-out with Steve was a piece of cake. Next week i staggered to the locker room totally exhausted. Funny thing, after an hour i was actually looking forward to next workout. I have never heard Steve raise his voice and we even have had some laughs. Yet if you do 30 reps and Steve says give me 3 more you just do it. He just pushes the right buttons. At the end of one workout, i had nothing left. Not one more push-up. He said that i had achieved failure.

In the short time I've known Steve, i know he would never disrespect anyone. He explained that having maximized my effort, my muscles had nothing else to give. I took it as a compliment. Steve just smiled. That's his job.
